Its gone official now – Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the latest smartphone to receive Lineage OS 15.1 version. An official build of the most popular custom firmware has been released on Lineage OS.
This means users can get OTA updates for newer build of Lineage without wiping data or flashing everytime. The Redmi Note 5 Pro also supports Google’s Project Treble – an intuitive method of delivering software updates seamlessly, even without rebooting the OS.
Users who want to install the OS will first have to install Twrp Recovery to flash LineageOS 15.1 on their smartphone. The instructions and download link for the same are available on XDA Forum.
