A new Realme GT series smartphone went official in China. It is called GT Neo 5 and GT Neo5 240W. Both of them are basically same with latter supporting faster charging speeds.

Realme GT Neo5 specs and features

It is an Android 13 powered mobile with Realme UI 4.0 on top. It has dimensions of 163.85 x 75.75 x 8.90 mm and weighs about 199 grams. You get dual Nano SIM slots inside with 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE.

The Realme GT Neo5 comes with transparent RGB design and leverages transparent double-film zero-noise technology on metallic camera module. It has halo RGB system that offers 25 different colors, 5 speed adjustments and sever other customization. This RGB lighting can be used for notifications on incoming calls, messages or other apps.

The Realme GT Neo 5 specs include 6.74-inch AMOLED display (Tianma) that gives 2722 x 1240 pixels resolution, up to 144Hz (40Hz/45Hz/60Hz/90Hz/120Hz/144Hz) adaptive refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colors, up to 1450nits (peak) brightness and 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

Powering inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform with Adreno next-gen GPU. Realme has included 6580 mm² cooling area, 4500 mm² 3D VC cooling, 1500Hz gaming control engine inside its new variable heat dissipation system max.

The Realme GT Neo5 feature in166MP front camera with Samsung S5K3P9 sensor and F/2.45 Aperture lens. At the back side includes a 50MP (main, Sony IMX890 sensor, F/1.88 Aperture, 23.6mm focal length, OIS) + 8MP (112-degree ultra-wide, Sony IMX355 sensor, F/2.2 Aperture) + 2MP (GC02M microscope lens, F/3.3 Aperture) and LED Flash. The cell phonehas features like HyperShot 2.0, Turbo RAW lossless image algorithm and Street shooting mode 3.0.

The Realme GT Neo 5 feature in 8GB / 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5X RAM options and has 256GB UFS 3.1 storage space. It includes a 5000mAh (typical) / 4850mAh (minimum) battery and supports 150W SuperVOOC fast charging speeds. It can go from 0 to 100% in 16 minutes.

The Realme GT Neo 5 240W model has options of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. It includes 4600mAh (typical) / 4450mAh (minimum) battery and allows 240W SuperVOOC Fast charging. It can go from 0 to 20% in 80 seconds, 50% in 4 minutes and 100% in about 9 minutes. Realme claims that GT Neo5 240W delivers 2 hours of talk time with just 30 seconds of charging.

The cell phone houses stereo speakers delivering Hi-Res audio and has Dolby Atmos. It has Type-C audio support and lacks a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ax,Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, NFC and dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo are supported.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is offered in Black, Purple Realm Fantasy and Sanctuary White colors. It is already up for order in China and will go on sale from February 15th. The handset will also roll out globally in coming days.
