HMD Global announces Nokia C12 cellphone

HMD Global has unraveled its new Android 12 Go Edition Smartphone called Nokia C12. The handset is successor to Nokia C10 that went official back in year 2021.

The Nokia C12 sports a Nordic design, with its casing specially made to offer better griping. The smartphone has dimensions of 160.6 x 74.3 x 8.75 mm and weighs 177.4 grams.

The handset comes with dual Nano SIM slots and a dedicated microSD card slot. The device has IP52 dust and splash proof rating and houses a 3000mAh removable battery inside. Sadly, 5W charging speeds are supported.

The Nokia C12 specs include 6.3-inch V-Notch display that offers 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 2D toughened glass protection.

Powering inside is a 1.6GHz octa-core UNISOC SC9863A processor with PowerVR IMG 8322 GPU. It has 2GB RAM and is backed with 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage space (expandable).

The Nokia C12 feature in 5MP fixed focus front camera (with face unlocking) while the back side houses a single 8MP auto focus camera along with LED flash. It has single speaker and a microphone.

Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.2, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Nokia C12 price is set at EURO 119 ($128 / Rs. 10,470 approx.) and comes in Charcoal, Dark Cyan and Light Mint colors. The cell phone will initially roll out in Germany and Austria. Other markets are soon to follow. [source]
