VIVO officially unveiled its latest X90 Series smartphone lineup in China. These include vanilla Vivo X90, VIVO X90 Pro and VIVO X90 Pro+.

The VIVO X90 is offered in Black and Blue colors with Glass back and Red color with Leather back. The VIVO X90 Pro and VIVO X90 Pro+ models come with Black and Red colors with Leather back.

The X90 / X90 Pro are up for order and will go on sale in China from November 30th. The X90 Pro+ will go on order from November 28th and will start selling in China from December 6th. VIVO has yet the reveal global release date of VIVO X90 Series.

VIVO X90 / X90 Pro specs and features

In terms of design and most specifications, the X90 and X90 Pro share several similarities. Only noticeable difference between them are dimensions, cameras and Battery capacity.

Starting with details that are common between two, these pack in a 6.78-inch BOE Q9 OLED display with HDR10+ support. The screen offers 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 115% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 1300nits brightness and 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming.

The VIVO X90 and X90 Pro feature in octa-core (up to 3.05GHz) MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor with Immortalis-G715 GPU. These come in options of 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 / 256GB UFS 4.0 storage and 12GB LPDDR5 / LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB / 512GB UFS 4.0 storage space.

Both of these VIVO X90 series smartphones run on Android 13 with OriginOS 3.0. Notably, it will come with Funtouch OS 13 in global markets. They come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, IR sensor and Dual SIM support for 5G SA/NSA and dual 4G VoLTE. Both come with 32MP front camera with F/2.45 Aperture.

For connectivity, these have Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.3, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 and dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo. These have stereo speakers with Type-C audio. The X90 Pro has an additional CS43131 Hi-Fi chip as well.

The VIVO X90 measures 164.10 x 74.44 x 8 .48mm (Black / Blue) / 8.88mm (Red). These weigh 200 grams / 196 grams respectively. The cell phone phone packs triple cameras at back with LED Flash, Zeiss T* coating, ZEISS optics and new V2 imaging chip. The camera makes up of 50MP (main, Sony IMX866, VCS bionic spectrum, F/1.75, OIS) + 12MP (ultra-wide, F/2.0) + 12MP (2x Portrait, 50mm, F/1.98, LAF) shooters. The cell phone houses a 4810mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging.

The VIVO X90 Pro oh the other hand has dimensions of 164.07 x 74.53 x 9.34mm and has weight of 214.85 grams. It has three cameras at back with V2 chip, Zeiss T* coating and ZEISS optics. These include 50MP (main, 1-inch Sony IMX989, F/1.75, OIS) + 12MP (ultra-wide, Sony IMX663, F/2.0) + 50MP (50mm 2X portrait, Sony IMX758, F/1.6, LAF) shooters. The pro model has a 4870mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

VIVO X90 Pro+ specs and features

It is a premium Dual SIM smartphone with 5G SA/NSA and dual 4G VoLTE. It is powered by latest Android 13 OS with OriginOS 3.0 on top (Funtouch OS 13 in global models).

The smartphone has dimensions of 164.35 x 75.29 x 9.7 mm and weighs 221 grams. The device sports a IP68 water resistant rating and houses an ultra-sonic In-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Additionally, it also includes an IR sensor.

The VIVO X90 Pro+ specs include 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED LTPO display that offers 3200 x 1440 pixels QHD+ resolution, 1Hz – 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1200Hz instant touch sampling rate, MEMC, JNCD≈0.26, 1800nits (peak) brightness and 1440Hz PWM dimming. There is support for Dolby Vision as well.

The VIVO X90 Pro Plus is first smartphone to come with an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform and Adreno 740 GPU. It has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage options. It has a 4700mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

In terms of optics, a 32MP camera is placed at front with F/2.45 Aperture lens. At the back side includes quad-cameras with LED Flash, ZEISS optics, ZEISS T* coating and V2 imaging chip. These make up of 50MP (main, 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, F/1.75, OIS) + 48MP (ultra-wide, Sony IMX598, F/2.2) + 50MP (50mm, 2X, Sony IMX758, F/1.6) + 64MP (3.5x Periscope / telephoto, OmniVision OV64B, F/3.40, OIS, 100X super Zoom, LAF) cameras.

The VIVO X90 Pro+ feature in stereo speakers with CS43131 Hi-Fi Chip and supports USB Type-C audio. It has Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.3, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1, dual band GPS/GLONASS/Bediou.
