He will cover work from artists and engineers at ILMxLAB, Skywalker Sound and Lucasfilm showing the creative and technical immersive experiments underway at their studio.
Future of Cinematic VR
Cinematic Virtual Reality is on the brink of becoming reality, and it seems like it is here to stay. The immersive capabilities of virtual reality are ground breaking; never before have we seen a medium that could relay a feeling of “presence”. When watching a movie at one of the big, traditional, movie theaters, you have the screen in front of you, you are surrounded by people, and if you turn your head away from the screen you are propelled back to actual reality.
This is why Cinematic Virtual Reality is so attractive to big investors; it is creating a ground breaking way in which to experience the already popular entertainment of movies.
VR cinema experience will immerse the viewer physically in whatever it is they are watching.
VIEW Conference 2016 will take place October 24-28th in Torino, Italy. Rob Bredow will speak on Friday 28th. For more information on VIEW Conference, visit the official website.
