Google is today expanding the scope of its enterprise G Suite productivity platform (previously known as Google Apps for Work) by debuting a new low-code, application development tool called App Maker. Using this simplistic drag-and-drop tool, anybody can instantly build and deploy basic custom apps tailored for according to specific needs for your organization.

Google has further assisted you by enabling the developer to leverage its multitude of services. This includes support for G Suite products as well as Maps, Contacts, Groups, Google Cloud and any other service which provides offers an API. They also have the freedom to connect any other third-party API to create richer, more intelligent application experiences for their organization’s applications.
The primary aim of this basic no-code tool, however, lies in the fact that Google wants you to focus on the development and delivery of your app and not the back-end infrastructure which supports the same. The tech behemoth emphasizes that you won’t even need a developer to start building apps from scratch, without having to worry about all the hubbub around setting up.
App Maker is built on the same secure and trusted infrastructure as G Suite apps like Gmail, Drive and Docs.
Being built on the same secure platform as all of Google’s own services, an organization can safely deploy custom apps in the cloud without having to worry about IT infrastructure. This includes servers, capacity planning, infrastructure security and monitoring, which is no longer a chore, thanks to this new low-code tool.

In addition to the aforementioned launch, Google announced that it is also expanding the scope of its already existing “Recommended for G Suite” program with new enterprise apps — seven to be exact. This program selects third-party apps which are fully integrable within the said G suite environment, and enable organizations to manage major aspects of their business including sales, marketing, and operations. New apps which have been added to G Suite via this program include Virtru, LumApps, DocuSign, Freshdesk, Zoho Invoice, Xero, and Asana.
