LG G6 Finally Pops Up on the Internet; Revealing More Features

After a couple of leaks of the most anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8, now it’s time to take a glance at the upcoming LG flagship, the LG G6. According to the LG G6 teaser titled “Wishlist for the ideal smartphone” that was released about two weeks ago, it seems like the company has listened to the needs of the users and was building a phone based on these requirements. Leaving behind almost all the gimmicks featured on the unsuccessful G5 including the modular concept, the LG G6 is already confirmed to sport a 5.7-inch QHD+ display, heat pipes, advanced AI and is said to undergo quality tests that are higher than international standards.

In the latest development, an alleged image of the LG G6 has surfaced online offering a much closer look at the device. Interestingly, the new image is in lines with the previously leaked ones, and so it’s safe to assume that this could be the legit design of the upcoming “Beast.” Check out the picture below.

Based on the photo, the device will come with a metal unibody design and have thinner screen bezels (almost 90% screen-to-body ratio), compared to the current flagship. Also, the picture is showing off a large sim slot on the right side of the device, which could also possibly accommodate a microSD card for the expansion of storage. According to popular news portal CNET, the G6 will have a sealed Battery like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 and thus be waterproof. Also, the company is said to be scrapping the modular battery feature found on G5, meaning the G6 will not have a removable battery.

If the CNET reports are to believed, the LG G6 will also boast the Google Assistant on board, making it the first phone other than the Pixel lineup to feature the same. The smartphone is believed to debut on 26th of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

A recap of the alleged specifications of the LG G6

  • 5.7 inch QHD+ (2880x1440p resolution) display
  • Snapdragon 835 processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • Dual-camera setup on the back
  • 64GB / 128GB / 256GB storage options
