What is Split Screen and How Do I Play It?

To play split-screen on Rocket League, connect a second controller and hit the start button to begin the game. The second player must log in to play with an online account or guest account. This is the same on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

On PlayStation 4 players, the other player has to sign up for an existing PSN account for them to be able to participate online. If they have a guest account, then you’ll only be able to play in offline mode. After the second player has authenticated, press the options button on the second controller to include them in the game.

In Xbox One, the other player must log in with either an Xbox Live account or a guest account. Similar to the PS4 version, guest accounts are also restricted in offline settings. After the second player has signed in, press an option button to allow them to join the game.
