Sarahah- The honesty app spreading like a wildfire

The honesty app Sarahah is leading the chart of app downloads reaching 85 Million registered users and is being downloaded more than popular apps like Snapchat and Instagram. Currently Sarahah is available on Google Play and App Store.

Sarahah is an Arabic word meaning "Honesty" it helps discovering our strengths and areas of improvement by giving anonymous Feedback from friends, colleagues or employees in a private manner. You just need to sign up at its official website and share your profile on Social Media. Then the people connected on social media with you may send an anonymous constructive message to you. Although replying to the feedback is disabled but according to its developer Zain al-Abdin Tawfiq, 29  he is seriously thinking about enabling reply option. Tawfiq told France-Presse that this app is " equivalent of an old school suggestion box". "Feedback is the goal - anonymous feedback," he added.

But along with positive feedback, it has a negative side as it is started to be used as a cyber bullying tool. Anonymity can lead to destructive criticism and destroy one life especially kids, because this app is easily accessible and connectable to other social media sites especially Snapchat a teen-centric app. Some critics also blamed Sarahah for stealing data, but "Sarahah doesn't steal data but websites and apps impersonating Sarahah could do that".
Well apart from criticism many have found Sarahah an attractive app to convey their message conveniently to their bosses, friends, relatives and loved ones.
