On Wednesday, December 28, 2016 Alessandro Sabatelli, Director AR & VR (augmented reality and virtual reality) announced the introduction of a new way to see whats happening on Twitter. He further added that
"Starting today, you can check out live, interactive 360° videos from interesting broadcasters and explore what’s happening with them. You’ll be able to get an inside look with well-known personalities and go behind the scenes at exclusive events."

Twitter had recently provided the livestream feature from its own app recently, as Twitter was providing this service via Periscope App earlier.

The 360° videos will be marked with a 360° badge will be available to be watched by all Twitter and Periscope users while its broadcast is currently limited to specific partners. It is expected that this feature will be available for all users shortly.
