While an iPhone camera flash is an LED, Flash Shell is Xenon, which produces a flash as much as one thousand times brighter than a standard camera phone LED flash. Kickstarter backers can get the Flash Shell starting at $55 and they can add accessories that include a SmartFlex Tripod, a Bluetooth Shutter Remote, and a Mini Standard Tripod.

Flash Shell is compatible with virtually all iPhones and iPads and it pairs to devices via Bluetooth. Parent company iStabilizer is in the process of developing the technology for Android as well and anticipates first quarter 2017 availability.
