Nothing makes a memorable weekend quite like a beautiful sea bay with azure water, the sun-kissed sand beneath your feet and the cool breeze perking up your mood. This is the reason why, the team Esolz had decided to head down to the sun-soaked sea beach of Mandarmani to unwind from their daily grind. Located at the bosom of West Bengal, the mesmerizing Mandarmani is known to be a perfect weekend destination with truckloads of attractions. In fact, it won’t be exaggerating to admit that this place has potentials galore to become an equally famous go-to beach destination as Goa, Puri or Kovalam. These are the reasons why, we were over the moon when the Esolz management zeroed in on Mandarmani to arrange our 2018 picnic.

And, the journey began:

The team Esolz works diligently all around the year, and the annual picnic of 2018 was a time to celebrate a refreshing weekend. 3rd February 2018 was marked to begin this much-awaited picnic trip to Mandarmani. Our stay by the sea of Mandarmani comprised of two days and one night. This means the evening of 4th February was marked as our return to Kolkata. One of the biggest draws of Mandarmani is its uninterrupted golden sand beach. Its shimmering sandy shore can cater to all tropical whims – the mellow sun, epic sunrise, palm-fringed sand, serene evenings, finger-licking edibles, and of course the mesmerizing sea. Amid such a stunning environ, all of us had a ball undoubtedly!

Two big travel buses along with a couple of private cars were booked to take us to Mandarmani. Our journey from Kolkata to Mandarmani was not at all boring because throughout this road-trip we indulged in different fun activities including, singing, dancing, passing the chits, endless talks, and the likes. Glimpses of the wonderful scenery of rural Bengal and some mouth-watering snacks like Chicken Sandwich, Veg patties, Cakes, etc., were the added bonanza to this trip.

After arriving at the coast of Mandarmani around 2 o’clock at the noon, we finally geared up for the tastes of fun in the sea. There are mainly two aspects that earn the maximum deal of accolades in Mandarmani – one being the luminous sea water, and the other, the luxury resorts. The beautiful Bombay Beach Resort, where the Esolz family had decided to put up at was a stone’s throw away from the sea beach. Owing to an array of high-end amenities like the sea-facing rooms, fancy lounge areas, green walkways, and yummy foods, it became a remarkable stay at the Bombay Beach Resort.

Aww-some moments to treasure forever:

Soon after putting up our luggage in the hotel rooms, we shoved off for the glistening-golden coast of Mandarmani. The sea, sand, and sun called us along with the adventure-filled cricket match, unforgettable sea-walks and some truly sumptuous edibles like Jeera Rice, Aloo Bhujia, Mixed dal, Paneer, Mixed Veg, Chicken, Chatni, Papad, Sweets, etc. After lunch, some of us decided to laze at our hotel rooms. While some of our exuberant colleagues decided to top up their Zen as well as their tans by loitering around the beach.

However, the actual amusement began when the sun went down! A bunch of elaborate arrangements have been made to let the good times rolling with DJs, bonfire, loud music, groovy music, and yummy edibles. Each of our colleagues was looking absolutely party-ready with their jazzy ensembles and groovy dance moves. This evening-escapade came to an end with some mouth-watering meals like Mutton, Naan, Kabli Chana, Sweets, etc. We decided to stay awake as long as we could to explore the beach under the starry sky.

Adieu, Mandarmani:

The next morning, we woke up followed by a saddened heart though, because it was our last day in Mandarmani. We were served some tantalizing breakfasts like Aloo Paratha, Tea/Coffee, Raita, Boiled Eggs, Nuns, and Sabzis to perk up our Sunday morning. Since it was our last day in Mandarmani, none of us were willing to stay room-bound at the hotel. We took our cameras and set off for the shore. We took plenty of selfies to treasure each of the Mandarmani-moments in our hearts. We did our lunch with Plain Rice, Fish Curry, Aloo Bhujiya, Sweets, and Papad. Finally, at 2 o’clock at the noon, we boarded our picnic bus to come back to Kolkata. Again, we had a blast while returning home from Mandarmani. Singing, dancing, and chit-chatting mode were on throughout this road-trip. We reached our destination around 7.30 in the evening.

Homecoming:

If all the moments of Mandarmani are different scenes of a movie, then “A Walk to Remember” is undoubtedly the climax of the film. Our 2018 picnic in Mandarmani will always be treasured at the bosom of our hearts. The footprints of the scuttling crabs and our fellow colleagues will never dissolve into oblivion.
