There are many cars and trucks out there that don’t exactly live up to their name. The Suzuki Swift, Ford Flex, or Mercedes Sprinter come to mind. You might think naming a vehicle after a legendary God would be a risky step towards public disappointment and a PR disaster. In this case, however, you would be wrong.

The Hercules 6×6 is a pickup truck quite worthy of its shared title with the son of Zeus.

Frequent readers might remember the Rezvani Tank we featured in the past. With their Hercules model, Rezvani has somehow managed to crank the badass factor even higher.

It’s like riding a bank vault

This isn’t just the standard Hercules 6×6, but the highly modified ‘military edition’ is crammed with a laundry list of defensive and offensive gear. It could be one of the safest spaces you could fit a family of four and still park at the Costco.

The truck’s body is reinforced with bulletproof glass and ballistic armor throughout, capable of stopping high caliber weapons and assault rifles. The radiator, battery, and fuel tank are wrapped in Kevlar, and the underside is shielded against explosive devices.

The brawny chassis is definitely at the larger end of road-legal vehicles with a height of 6.7ft, width of 7.6ft, and bus-like length of 20.4ft.

The sheer size of the truck requires an immense engine to power it, and Rezvani certainly didn’t scrimp there… The Hercules 6×6 can be optioned with a 7.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that outputs a God-like 1,300 horsepower.

Apocalypse now?

The military edition doesn’t stop with just ballistic protection. A panel of red switches not only look like something from the Batmobile, but read like them too…

• Electrified door handles
• Magnetic dead bolts
• Front and rear blinding lights
• Strobe lights

There’s also a full siren and PA system that allows the driver to communicate without opening the doors or windows. Imagine that at Wendy’s drive-through .

The Hercules 6×6 rides on military-grade run-flat tires that can still roll at high speeds after heavy damage. It’s also outfitted with military-grade gas masks, a hypothermia kit, and other first aid items.

A camera at the front has a continuous recording feature (to capture all the awesome things you’ll do in your Hercules) as well as thermal night vision. Produced by imaging specialists FLIR, this allows the truck to see heat signatures in the dark and stream them to an interior display.

As you might imagine, having 6 all-terrain tires gives the Hercules a bit of an advantage off-road. An on-demand 6×6 drive system provides massive amounts of grip, which you can see in action in the video below:

So how much does a 6-wheeled bulletproof pickup truck cost? If you like the Hercules’ look and feel, the standard edition can be purchased from $225,000.

The hard core military edition however, will require another $100k, at $325,000.

Just hope the price of gas doesn’t go up.
