Donald Trump told a joke at a rally about being added among the US presidents on Mount Rushmore.
His remarks got a mixed reaction as people imagined the current President on the mountain alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
Mr Trump made the comment during a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, where he said that “every president on Mount Rushmore believed in protecting American industry.”
He said: “Now here’s what I do. I’d ask whether or not you someday think I will be on Mount Rushmore,” Trump explained.
“But here’s the problem, if I did it joking, totally joking, having fun, the fake news media will say ‘he believes he should be on Mount Rushmore.’ So I won’t say it. Okay? I won’t say it.”
Despite the fact he said he won’t say that he should be on Mount Rushmore, people on social media quickly loaded up Photoshop and imagined what this future could look like.
Does anyone think that the never-Trumpers, the media and the left (but I repeat myself) will ever stop freaking out and going nuclear with every President Trump tweet?
I truly hope that they all continue as they have been for the past couple of years. It’s tremendously entertaining!
