Hello everyone, in this post I'm going to show you how to convert your Android phone as a webcam for your PC. As many of us using desktop and generally don't have webcam on their systems and want to do a urgent video call this method is helpful. Yes of course you can use your Android device itself at times, but if you want the video call on a larger screen you can do this. As Android offers a number of apps on internet there are apps which allows you to convert your Android into a webcam. The conversion is simple and very easy. Before we start you need to make sure that you have downloaded an IP camera Adapter application on you PC and IP Webcam Application on your Android.
Requirements:
>IP camera Adapter.
>IP Webcam Application.
>Browser: chrome or Firefox.
Step 1: First of all install the IP Webcam application on your Android phone and the IP Camera Adapter on your PC.
Step 2: Now start the IP Camera application on your phone. Adjust the settings like username, password, screen resolution etc according to your choice. After completing the procedure click on the Start Server button. Note that the app uses your phones back camera as default for good quality. You can change which camera to be used on its settings.
Step 3: Now when you click the start server button you will see an IP at the bottom of your phones screen. Open this IP in your phones browser (chrome or Firefox).
Step 4: Now open the installed IP camera adapter on your PC. In the ‘Camera feed URL’ enter your IP and port from your Android phone and click on Autodetect. Now hit ok.
Step 5: That's it all done!! Open any video conferencing application on your PC like Skype, Facebook or Yahoo messenger and use your Android phone as a portable webcam.
