Live Streaming is becoming popular these days with more use of internet and smartphones. The conventional method of watching TV is decreasing because people are now more connected to mobile phones and tablets.  Many companies also use the source of Live Streaming to convey their business broadcast.  Big technology events like CES or MWC also use live streaming to broadcast their event.  There were also reports of tech companies trying to win rights to stream NFL games.  Having smartphone in handy , watching live stream is very comfortable and easy. Even when you are in the train or in the air , you can stream live TVs and watch your favorite channel.

Today , we have some big news regarding Live Streaming Service. Big tech giants Facebook and Twitter are both interested in Live streaming content. According to Reuters, Twitter and Facebook have shown much interest in launching live streaming service where both social giants are fighting to win the rights to show conventional TV programs.  According to the report , both companies have also approached programmers for an agreement to designed software which will stream video to their users. Both companies have refused to comment on this matter and want to keep this news a secret.

According to CNBC,  when Facebook read this news on the internet about their interest in live streaming service, they contacted CNBC and told , that “ The company is not focused on acquiring the rights to conventional TV programs”.

Interestingly, both companies have somehow pushed their services, like Facebook has a live video feature that has recently launched, and Twitter has Periscope, an interactive app that can create live streams.

If Facebook and Twitter succeed in their goal, this will be a big accomplishment for both companies this year. But for now lets just take news as a grain of salt.
