Lava has finally joined the race of affordable Windows Phone. Lava Iris Win 1 is the one such smartphone that runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and targeting Indian market. With its entry level price Rs.4,999, Iris Win 1 has got the similar specifications as recently launched Win 400 from Celkon. Interestingly, Lava has chosen Flipkart to sell its first Windows Phone 8.1 powered smartphone and the availability will start from December 4.

Lava Iris Win 1 features 4-inch WVGA display. It is powered by Snapdragon 200 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. Iris Win 1 comes with 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front-facing camera. It comes with all the three basic sensors including accelerometer, proximity sensor, and the ambient sensor. It packs 1,950mAH battery.

Lava Iris Win 1 comes with a flip cover and a screen guard. So, at just Rs.4,999, you’re getting more than enough with a Windows powered device. Recently, Lava also launched Iris 401 handset at the same price. The handset however runs on Android Kitkat and is powered by dual core processor. As mentioned earlier, Microsoft has joined hands with almost 17 OEMs to deliver their Windows powered handsets all over the world. Apart from domestic smartphone manufacturing companies, other brands are also looking forward to deliver their Windows Phones into the market.
