Gbenro Dara, former Co-founder and chief operations officer of online auto insurance marketplace MyAutoGenius.com, has been named the Managing Director of  Saltside Technologies’ Efritin.com

He takes over from pioneer MD, Zakaria Hersi who needs to attend to urgent personal matters. Under Zakaria, Efritin, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, secured over 30,000 registered users and over 300,000 daily site visits.

Gbenro’s task is to scale up Efritin’s presence in Nigeria and push up the revenue potential of the platform.

Back in 2012, Gbenro and Leonard Stiegeler, current Ringier Africa general manager, founded Sabunta and Kasuwa, Rocket Internet’s pioneering ventures in Nigeria. Stiegeler later went on to establish Startup Partners Africa, where Dara headed operations.
