Microsoft has announced plans to bring Android phone Notifications to your Windows 10 PC. This is for only PCs running on Windows 10. The project and details were revealed at the Build 2016 conference. Some of the actions possible with this new feature includes the ability to reply to messages directly from your PC, see details of missed calls, messages and a variety of other apps. The system works through the Cortana app for Android, which is currently only available in the US with users in the rest of the world having to wait a little longer for the app to roll out to them. This improved and new Action Center UI will sync to the cloud, plugging Cortana Notification Mirroring into Android’s notification listener, and then sending these to your Windows 10 PC.

The app puts your notifications into the cloud and then mirrors them onto your connected Windows 10 PC. The Build, Microsoft revealed that the Notification Center is in line for a major overhaul that will not only bring Cortana-power notification mirroring to Android users, but will also bring a richer, more image-heavy notification experience. This is probably a negative for iphone users whose iOS is a lockdown because of its tightly controlled nature. Apple already has its own notification mirroring though, with iOS on your iPhone and iPad able to talk with your Mac

Developers will need to enable support for notification mirroring in their apps, and users will be free to enable and disable the feature for individual apps  as this is to ensure that you don’t get bombarded with messages.
