Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for President of the United States has just announced a line of high-end watches, called “Trump” by Trump Watches. The Inaugural Trump collection will feature a single model—the 1-Million—a reference to the modest loan given to Mr. Trump by his late father. It is interesting to note that Donald Trump is not only interested in politics and business but is also a fan of horology. The American businessman and television personality in his usual bold speeches said : “I will build a great watch—and nobody will build a watch better than me. I will build a great, great watch.” He mentioned that this has been in the works for a pretty long time, “long before that choke artist Rubio made that crack about me selling watches in Manhattan.
Designed by Mr. Trump himself and manufactured by a noted Swiss company, it is made up of a 48mm case and 18K yellow gold. The watch is also full of Trumps signature with dial alone signed six times, the hands four times and the case five times. The indices (signed) are shaped like gold bullions, and Trump’s name takes the place of 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2. A fashioned strand of Mr. Trump’s real hair is found in the hairspring, noted for its impressive resistance against shocks and magnetism.
Each watch will come with a two sirloins from Trump Steaks and a certificate of authenticity issued from the now defunct Trump University, which is currently being rebranded as a school for young watch makers. November 9, 2016 has been slated for the release date, and will be available on www.Trump.com alongside Trump Fragrance and Trump Natural Spring Water.
Trump is from Queens in New York City, and is a son of real estate developer, Fred Trump. Trump worked for his father’s firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son while attending college. Upon graduating from college in 1968, Trump joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company “The Trump Organization”.
