Project Description:

As Cloud computing eliminates the barriers on one-time equipment purchasing as well as the cost on IT maintenance and personnel control for startups. It also enables internet companies stop worrying about the IT support and the operation requirement of user peak value within cross-border business. In addition, the Cloud computing allows manufacturing, retailing and service companies no longer anxious about the stability, safety and sustainability of working systems.
The Initiative aims to focus on popularizing Cloud Computing knowledge, strengthening the Cloud Computing utilization capacity and collecting the practical cases on Cloud Computing application of SMEs.

This project sticks to Nanjing Declaration on Promoting SME Innovative Development which mandates policy support for electronic commerce platform development and the application of big data and open data to facilitate SME expansion and cross-border trade. The Declaration furthermore proposes the SMEs to share experiences on utilization of intelligent terminal, cloud services, Software as a service and outsourcing services.

With the intention of implementation, the Internet Society of China (ISC) initiated the APEC Smes Clouds Innovation and Entrepreneurship forum and business matches, which positively sponsored by Tsinghua University, Microsoft, Digiwin Software and 258 Group.

The initiative meeting was held in Beijing in November 2016, the interim forum and business match will be held in Beijing in June 2017 and the finals will be held in Beijing in November 2017.
