The 2014 Zero SR, a Step Closer for Electric Motorbikes
The new Zero Electric Motorbike is out, and it’s a major upgrade on its 2011 predecessor. The new 2014 Zero SR has several improvements on the 2011 Zero, including a 3.2 bigger battery, it goes almost four times further and can reach a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph)!
Weighing in at 205 kg it performs like a much lighter bike, but quality and performance don’t come cheap, it has an entry level price tag of US$17,000!
Some observers, believe it may be the first electric motorbike that can really challenge its petrol driven competitors.
Definitely one to keep an eye on for the future!
