The standard Star system officially allows up to five stars for any Hotel, but these architectural masterpieces and luxury havens exceed any other resort, earning them the crowned title for the world’s best hotels…

1.  Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The building was designed by architect, John Elliott RIBA, who was Senior Vice President at Wimberly, Allison, Tong and Goo, (WATG) an international firm specializing in Luxury Hotels. Situated on 1.3 km of private beach and surrounded by 85 hectares of gardens and lawns, with 114 domes that are 80 meters high, Emirates Palace comprises 394 rooms and suites.

2. Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE. It is considered as the as the number one seven star hotel in the world. It is officially known as a five-star deluxe hotel on the standard star system. Burj Al Arab was designed by architect Tom Wright of WKK Architects. The design and construction were managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory of WS Atkins. It holds only 28 double-story floors which accommodate 202 bedroom suites.

3. Seven Stars Galleria (Town House Galleria), Milan, Italy. The hotel is located at the end of a courtyard in Via Silvio Pellico and is known as the ”seventh heaven’. Defined as “a light over the city” by the former mayor Letizia Moratti, take the crystal elevator to the SevenStars Galleria where you can shop to your heart’s content with the help of a trusty butler. The hotel is a member of luxury hospitality trade organisation The Leading Hotels of the World.

4. Pangu Seven-star hotel (Morgan Plaza), Beijing, China.  Designed by world famous architect C.Y.Lee, Pangu seven-star Hotel is Beijing’s latest masterpiece. The Pangu 7 Star Hotel occupies the “First Block” of the “Pangu”, and it contains two pavilions, a temple, a Japanese restaurant, and a 600-meter-long corridor.

5. The Flower of the East, Kish Island, Iran. The Flower of the East Hotel was a planned 200-room luxury hotel to be built on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf. It was intended to be the world’s second 7-star hotel after the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

6. Tameer Towers Abu Dhabi, UAE. It was developed by Sorouh Real Estate. The tower is the tallest between a complex conjoined between four other buildings in a major building project called the Tameer Towers, owned by the Tameer corporation. The Tameer Towers are located in a section of the city Abu Dhabi called Al Reem Island.

7. The Centaurus, Islamabad, Pakistan. The hotel itself will be 37 stories tall. The tallest skyscrapers in the city have 41 stories and all three are linked by a shopping mall. Interior Design of The Residence and Mall has been designed by ODEION-Turkey. It was designed by British architectural firm WS Atkins.

8. The Pentominium, Dubai, UAE.  It is the tallest residential building in the world. The Pentominium is a 122-storey, 516 m (1,693 ft) supertall skyscraper. It is the tallest all-residential building in the world.

9. Lacula Island, Northestern Group Of Island, Fiji.  A private island owned by Malcom Forbes. The spacious residences can accommodate between two to six guests in one to three bedrooms. All 25 bures (the Fijian name for house) are individually made out of Fijian materials combined with exclusively designed interiors.

10. ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, India. The building, designed by Singapore-based SRSS Architects, is of mixed-use development with three separate wings and is themed after traditional Dravidian Architecture of the Chola Dynasty. The hotel has 600 rooms. The hotel also has a 48-seater preview theater.
