Samsung infuse into download mode simplest method
I did it for my SGHI997 and it worked
Take battery out
Plug in usb cable to phone and pc
Hold both vol up and down only no power button.
Put battery in
steps:

Plug in usb cable to phone and pc
Hold both vol up and down only no power button.
Put battery in
it worked :)
now press volume up to get in download mode.
