Windows 8 has not even managed to settle but since Microsoft already working on its successor, Windows 9x. According to numerous rumors the new operating system of the house will be available in April 2015. The new version is named "Threshold" in the inner circles but it is unknown if this is the name that will adopt the new version of Windows when it is presented in society, presumably next April.
Windows 8 hit the market in 2011 but today its growth remains slow substantially. Currently in two versions, 8 and 8.1, the latest version of Windows has approximately 11% market share. Windows 7 is the most used Windows operating system with over 52% share, Vista stays in last place and XP remains on the list after 14 years on the market with a significant share of the market.
It is unclear what will bring new version of Windows but vias to the Metro interface and the integration window with the possibility of coupling two apps on the same desktop are expected.
Personally I am not a big fan of Windows 8 touch interface as it may seem initially attractive but ultimately tiring, especially if you use a device that is not touch. My opinion is, therefore, expressed the same as the millions of consumers who have not opted to upgrade, Windows 9 hopefully find a better destination.
