The Serialization Series includes a number of systems designed for aggregating products into shipping cases – a good example being the Model 1924, case packing, aggregation and labeling system.

Model 1924 is designed to speed up and simplify aggregating products that are packed into shipping cases – ensuring that every item in the box is captured to ensure that your aggregation data is always correct. To achieve this, 1924 interfaces with your MES software, which controls your serialization and aggregation process.

Operation of the system is semi-automatic – the operator places a standard RSC case into the case former, which closes the bottom flaps.  Next, the labeling unit, prints and applies the DSCSA compliant label to one or two faces of the cases.

After labeling, the operator loads the first layer of unit cartons n to the case, making sure the serialization barcodes are facing up. when the layer is complete, the operator presses a foot switch that tells the overhead aggregation camera to scan all the barcodes. If all is correct, a green light shows the operator that is ok to load the next layer. Should there be an unscannable or invalid barcode, the MES system tells the operator the correct procedure to rectify the problem.

When the case is completely loaded and all barcodes captured, the green light flashes and the semi-automatic case taper seals the top and bottom of the case.

The 1924 is designed to have a very small footprint and integrates with MES systems from all the serialization vendors. Allen-Bradley controls are standard and ID Technology offers full documentation and an optional IQ/OQ validation package.

Your shipping case leaves the 1924 correctly labeled and sealed with all the contents correctly aggregated.
