Has Pokemon truly been on a decline or is it just a vocal minority?

I was born back in 1999, so I got to first play Pokemon right around Pokemon Fire Red, Emerald, Colosseum/XD, and then Pokemon Battle Revolution. I saw how just how much potential Pokemon had back then with how much effort Genius Sonority put into those first 3 3D titles (for the GameCube and Wii, anyway) and it’s kind of sad to see that potential squandered nowadays with Game Freak.

But yeah, I’ve moved onto other Monster Collecting/RPG series like Dragon Quest Monsters/Fire Emblem/Dragon Quest and many many more.

I am still a firm believer that you can have a monster collecting game that’s fun for everyone, and of almost any age and still have it be a very quality product, like with Dragon Quest Monsters, or something from Shin Megami Tensei.
