Regarding gaming laptops, ASUS is a brand that often comes on top of the list. In particular, the Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 has been a popular choice among gamers thanks to its sleek design and powerful specs, including a pretty good processor and graphics card.

The 2023 model looks to build on this legacy with the inclusion of the AMD Ryzen 9 processor, which offers top-of-the-line performance and the ability to handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.

And then, we have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, which will provide users with stunning visuals and the ability to run the latest games at high settings.

This combination is unbelievably powerful because both are the latest in line with their respective generations. So, it’s certainly not a machine for those with a budget. Instead, it’s a high-end gaming laptop in its glory.

Of course, the CPU and GPU are just two parts of the picture, so let’s look at what else is present.

First of all, there are three possible panels that the consumer can pick, which are:

• ROG Nebula HDR QHD+ (2560×1600) – Mini LED backlights, 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync, Dolby Vision.
• ROG Nebula Display QHD+ (2560×1600) – IPS-level panel, 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync, Dolby Vision.
• FHD+ (1290×1200) – IPS-level panel, 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, Dolby Vision.

The only difference in colors between the three is in the FHD+ panel, which has a 100% sRGB color space coverage. Whereas the first two have 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage instead.

As for the rest, we have 32GB of DDR5 RAM, 1TB of storage, a 76 Wh battery, and a backlit keyboard. And in the ports, there are a few USB 3.2 ports, USB 4.0 Type-C, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm jack, and a MicroSD slot.

These are more than what we usually see on the average laptop, but fortunately, they do not negatively affect the visual design. And that stands for the subtle dots on the bottom that enable extra airflow too.

One unique feature of this laptop is that it has a low-res screen on its top. You can display certain things on it, such as logos or animations that represent what you’re doing on your actual display.

Though this might come in handy for some users, it’s a bit of a gimmick tied in with the AniME Matrix and Virtual Pet OMNI, which is a mascot for this model. 

It’s undeniable that this laptop is packed with great hardware and a few customizable options to pick from too. But despite everything being top-of-the-line, the main focus always goes towards the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 – and rightfully so.

This is one of the few laptops that have incorporated this powerhouse of a GPU, and it’s undoubtedly been one of the highlights of CES 2023.

The laptop will come out sometime this year, and the expected price is at least $1799.

Just make sure not to confuse this new model with any older ones, as they share the same name, and the only difference between them is the year.
