Stores offered more real offers with Black Friday

but no higher discount
Web shops offered more real deals with Black Friday than last year, but the amount of discount was about the same as last year and the period before. This is apparent from a data analysis from Tweakers.

The number of real offers, where the price was the lowest in six months, was on Black Friday above six thousand and that is slightly more than in the period before, according to the data. A week and a half before Black Friday, there were just over five thousand such offers available. The number of offers in total was around 15 percent higher than last year.

Although there were more offers, those offers were no better. The average discount was 16 percent and that is about the same percentage as last year and in recent months. On average, web stores therefore no longer offer discounts on or around Black Friday. Last year’s peak with discounts on Cyber Monday was not visible this year.

The figures also show that Black Friday has become a week. The number of offers and the number of clicks in the Pricewatch was one week in advance higher than last year. The figures are in line with those of last year , when there were on average more, but no better offers on Black Friday.
