Belgian company offers flight experience

in a professional F-16 and F-18 simulator
Visitors to Brussels Flight Simulators can now also sit in an advanced simulator of the F-16 and F-18. Earlier, Brussels Flight Simulators were able to fly virtually with a Boeing 737 and Cessna C172.

With the two new simulators from Brussels Flight Simulators, enthusiasts can both perform a solo flight and engage in a fight with another pilot, reports Brussels Flight Simulators.

The new simulators are, according to the company, of professional quality and able to simulate every aspect of a flight: from the cockpit over the movements of the fighter plane to the environment, which would be displayed ‘ultra sharp’. The weather conditions are also adjustable, with a choice of beautiful weather, storm, crosswind, black ice and snow. According to BFS, the flight simulator software includes more than 24,000 airports and a large number of missions.

For a flight in one of the simulators no prior knowledge is required: an instructor and briefing are included in the price. Those prices start at 69.90 euros for half an hour, or 129.90 euros when the F-16 and F-18 simulator are rented simultaneously for a double camp with a friend. Flying forty minutes with a Boeing 737 or Cessna C172, two simulators that were previously available, costs 99 and 59 euros respectively.

The company does not provide technical details about the flight simulators, but it can be concluded from a tutorial that it uses the software packages X-Plane and Prepar3D , while the software of Fly Elise-ng is used to adapt the images to the screens. Brussels Flight Simulators is located in Zaventem, a stone’s throw from the international airport of Belgium.
