Author: Dan Brown
Published date: October 3, 2017
Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Fiction
I bought this book because I'm a fan of his titles and also National Bookstore Philippines has a promo of Trip to Barcelona (Spain) when you purchase the book "Origin by Dan Brown" from them. I first assume Barcelona is the new setting where Robert Langdon gets his new trouble. Poor Langdon, always in trouble.
Check out their promo post for more info. (Promo runs until Nov. 05, 2017)

The first few pages really got me hooked on reading it as if I'm going to finish it within a day. As I was expecting from his writing, I really like how Dan Brown puts some facts in his book. It makes his book more intriguing. This is not much of a spoiler but the main setting is in the country of Spain. He was invited there by his friend to watch a controversial discovery, an announcement that hooked many people around the world (hooked like me reading it).
I would like to note that some conservatives from various religions might turn this book down because of the plot. Don't be. I was expecting that impression from them while reading this book. I'm not religious. I'm thinking what might the Christians, the Jews, and the Muslim do if they're also reading this book. There's a twist in the end so there's no reason for them to get offended.
I really enjoyed this book because I love science and the topic of Singularity. I just gave you a hint. Also, before you read this book, you might want to read the wiki of Barcelona so you can familiarize with the landmarks mentioned in this book; see link. And read about the dictator Francisco Franco too, jump to this link.
I'm giving this book a rating of: 4.3 / 5.0
