Lenovo's ThinkPad W520 is one of the most popular laptops of today. This is because of the performance that it delivers to the customers. With the Intel Core i7-2920XM processor and advanced NVIDIA Quadro 2000M GPU the above mentioned statement is attained. The ThinkPad W520 is the upgraded version of ThinkPad W510. Features like firewire 400, headset combo jack, Expresscard, one USB 2.0, one USB 2.0/eSATA and USB Superspeed 3.0 are inherited from the ThinkPad W510.
Newly added features include full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a huey PRO colour calibration system application. The Company label has also been included on the screen front of the ThinkPad. The 15.6-inch HD along with LED backlit display add to the perfect look. The Processor is boosted with Intel's Turbo Boost 2.0 and the graphics is switchable to Intel HD Graphics 300. The seagate HDD has a storage capacity of 500 Gb at 7200 rpm and the total RAM is 8 GB (4GB + 4GB). Other unique features include Lenovo's Finger Print Reader, Wi-Fi and bluetooth. It's dimension is 14.68" x 9.65" x 1.29-1.44".
With all the positive things in performance it is prone to collect heavy dust and the audio quality is not so good. Also some of the configurations are expensive too. Another thing is that a reasonable amount of force is required to open and close the screen. Its price is $1530(May vary depending on locations- this is as per in India).
