To install and set up the Microsoft Phone Link app for syncing your smartphone and PC or notebook/laptop:
On your PC:
- Open the Microsoft Store app.
- Search for "Phone Link" and click on the app listing.
- Click "Get" to install the app.
- Once the app is installed, launch it.
- Select your phone type (Android or iPhone).
On your Android phone:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Search for "Link to Windows" and click on the app listing.
- Click "Install" to install the app.
- Once the app is installed, launch it.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that you signed in with on your PC.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing your phone and PC.
On your iPhone:
- Open the App Store app.
- Search for "Phone Link" and click on the app listing.
- Click "Get" to install the app.
- Once the app is installed, launch it.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that you signed in with on your PC.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing your phone and PC.
Once your phone and PC are paired, you can start syncing your data. To do this, open the Phone Link app on your PC and select the features that you want to sync. You can sync your messages, photos, contacts, and more.
To set up specific features in the Phone Link app:
- To sync your messages: Go to Settings > Features > Messages. Toggle on the switch next to Sync messages and choose which messages you want to sync.
- To sync your photos: Go to Settings > Features > Photos. Toggle on the switch next to Sync photos and choose which photos you want to sync.
