India’s next moon Mission, Chandrayaan-II, will take place in the first quarter of 2013, according to ISRO. Chandrayaan-II is a part of a four-year project being carried out by India and Russia. This unmanned mission (like its predecessor) would carry lesser payloads and also investigate the presence of water.
Project director Mylaswamy Anadurai said the designs for the mission’s rover and orbiter had been finalized and the fabrication would began shortly.
