Spectra Logic was a Platinum Sponsor for the first annual Storage Technology Showcase (STS) last week. The event was held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, from March 12-15. The conference provided visitors with strategic information on the latest disruptive technologies, trends and emerging solutions for organizations managing amounts of data in the petabyte and exabyte ranges.

Executives, system architects and decision makers engaged with their peers, industry thought leaders and other organizations to discuss the challenges of storing, managing, scaling and preserving data in a quickly evolving landscape. The three-day conference included a combination of end user case studies, industry analyst outlooks, emerging technology updates, panel forums, vendor exhibits and networking time. Trending topics like NVMe innovations, metadata and artificial intelligence kept the conversation flowing. Throughout the course of the week, presenters shared highly educational perspectives on the future of storage and how organizations are addressing their data storage needs today. Spectra’s Chief Technology Officer Matt Starr delivered an informative keynote presentation at the conference on “Storage Strategies for Data-Driven Businesses in the Era of Cloud.” David Trachy, Spectra’s senior director of advanced development, also presented at the event.

STS successfully kicked off Spectra’s tradeshow season. The company is participating in seven other large industry events worldwide between April and June. These include Avid Connect (April 6-7), NAB Show (April 8-11), Bio-IT World (April 16-18), Dell Technologies World (April 29–May 2), GlobusWorld (May 1-2), VeeamOn (May 20-22), ISC High Performance (June 16-20), and Broadcast Asia (June 18-20). Spectra Logic executives will share expertise with existing and prospective customers, partners and professionals, and showcase Spectra’s suite of data storage solutions.
