RIM launches Adobe AIR Developer's Kit for BlackBerry playbook

Research in motion (RIM) has launched an Adobe Air Software Development Kit (SDK) for which that developers create BlackBerry Tablet operating system (OS), air applications for the Blackberry Playbook. Air, Adobe's Internet application platform allows Web developers to feature-rich Internet applications to labels.it is used in the BBC iPlayer.


The new SDK includes hardware accelerated playback of graphical content, HTML and Flash content display, touch screen user interface components can be gestures as C++ extensions and APIs such as geolocation and existing Adobe AIR apps ported BlackBerry Playbook. "The new SDK for BlackBerry playbook unleashes a wealth of possibilities for Adobe and BlackBerry development of communities easily create value-added applications and experiences for customers and we are very excited by the positive feedback from developers in early studies", said David Yach, CTO for software to RIM.


Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer at salesforce.com, said, "mobile and social technologies are the future of computing in the Unternehmen.BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR enables us to real-time collaboration with mobile seamlessly to deliver chatter business users around the world on the BlackBerry Playbook." The BlackBerry playbook with BlackBerry Tablet OS supports Adobe Air 2.5 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
