The Australia Startup Visa is a temporary visa that allows entrepreneurs to live and work in Australia for up to 4 years. The visa is designed to attract top-quality global talent to Australia's startup ecosystem. If you are a startup founder and going to launch a big enterprise you can easily immigrate to any developed country like Australia.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Australia Startup Visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a founder or key personnel of a startup company that is operating in Australia there is no minimum investment needed to get this visa.
  • Your startup company must have been endorsed by an expert group. The expert group is a panel of independent experts who assess the viability of your startup company and the potential for your company to create jobs and contribute to the Australian economy. The expert group is made up of people with experience in the startup ecosystem, such as venture capitalists, angel investors, and business advisors.

    To be endorsed by the expert group, your startup company must meet the following criteria:

    • The company must be a new or early-stage venture.
    • The company must have a clear and achievable business plan.
    • The company must have the potential to create jobs and contribute to the Australian economy.

    The expert group will consider a number of factors when assessing your company, including the following:

    • The quality of your business plan
    • The experience of your team
    • The market opportunity for your product or service
    • The financial viability of your company

    If your company is endorsed by the expert group, you will be eligible to apply for the Australia Startup Visa.

    Here are some of the expert groups that can endorse your startup company for the Australia Startup Visa:

    • Australian Technology Network (ATNET)
    • Australian Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL)
    • Business.gov.au
    • StartupAUS
  • You must have a valid business plan.
  • You must have at least competent English language skills, as assessed by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). You must score at least 6.5 in each of the four IELTS components: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Which Countries entrepreneurs are eligible to apply: The Australia Startup Visa is open to citizens of all countries, with the exception of citizens of countries that are subject to travel restrictions due to COVID-19.
  • Which Countries entrepreneurs are ineligible to apply: The following countries are ineligible to apply for the Australia Startup Visa:
    • Afghanistan
    • Iran
    • Iraq
    • Libya
    • North Korea
    • Somalia
    • Sudan
    • Syria
    • Yemen

How to Apply

To apply for the Australia Startup Visa, you must submit the following documents:

  • A completed visa application form
  • A copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business plan
  • A letter of endorsement from the expert group
  • Proof of English language proficiency
