Ericsson, Hack for Earth to Launch Hackathon at COP28

Hack for Earth is launching the ‘Hack for Earth’ at COP28 co-organized with Ericsson’s hackathon.

The event to be held in Dubai between November 30 to December 12, 2023, aims to identify innovative sustainability solutions using technology, creativity, and connectivity.

Participants will focus on eight challenge categories, including energy, transport, and food. The winning teams will enter Hack for Earth’s 6-month acceleration program, Build for Earth. Applications are open to youth aged 16-35.

Ann Molin, the Founder and Secretary General of the Hack for Earth Foundation, said the partnership will enable them to create a highly impactful hackathon at COP28.

Fida Kibbi, Vice President at Ericsson Middle East and Africa, expressed satisfaction in collaborating with Hack for Earth to discover inventive sustainability solutions propelled by technology, creativity, and connectivity.

Ericsson is dedicated to utilizing its technology to make responsible contributions towards solutions that bring about positive societal change.
