Dubai: This young Muscat-based singer is proving that any goal can be achieved with passion and dedication. Marwan Munavwar (23), a native of Kasarkot Vidyanagar, is beating the disease called autism, which he was diagnosed with at a young age. This young man, who is present on YouTube, social media and public platforms, has now entered the field of film playback. The Malayalam film Purple Poppins recently hit the theaters with the title song sung by Marwan. This English song has already been taken over by music lovers. Produced by MD Ajith under the banner of Siyaram Productions, Purple Poppins is written and directed by MBS Shine. Lyrics by Varun Babu and Manu Chandran have been composed by Nirshad.

Marwan, who has already released eight Music Albums, has won four recognitions and many awards like Nobel World Record, International Book of Records, India Book of Records and World Wide Book of Records as a determined and talented musician.

Bharathiyar Naam, Haritha Charitam, Raihaan, Sangeet, Thrissur Pooram, Mehandi Nee, Poove Poli Poove, Penne are the music albums produced by this talent. He also composed the music for the short film The Trash. In addition, Marvans also runs a music band called Autism Diary.

Marwan is studying music under young music director Nirshad Nini. This relationship opened the door to cinema. Proficient in guitar, keyboard and melodica, Marwan has demonstrated his talent in Carnatic vocals and Western music. Apart from this, he also works in studio engineering and music production. Along with this, Quran study is also being done.

‘Doctor in Dubai says he is not right’

Marwan’s mother Zabeela says about the diagnosis of her son’s illness and the arduous journey they took for him: Being the first child, we naturally had no idea about the child’s developmental stages. When the baby is born, the body weight is reduced. After 40 days, he became a good boy. When he was 8 months old, we came to Kasab, Oman. When he was 13 months old, he returned home.

He came by train from Mumbai to Kasaragod. I had a seizure in the train. A doctor was a passenger in the train so he came and examined him. Peaceful with that. And with the hustle and bustle of coming home. Meanwhile, his son had epilepsy again. Then saw a pediatrician.

Medicines were given. Mon was not talking at that time. He was referred to an ENT on the advice of her husband’s father, an Ayurvedic doctor. He said that there are no ear problems and that speech therapy should be done. So I did therapy in Mangaluru for a month. All this time most people have been telling us that he is not too young now but will talk when he gets a little bigger.

Then when we were two years old, we went back to the Gulf again. Saw a neurologist in Dubai. But we went to Dubai with great expectations from Oman and got a completely negative response from the doctor. Marwan, who was a little hyperactive, got angry when he got his hands on the doctor’s expensive paraphernalia and told us that he was difficult to get right. We felt sad and angry with the doctor.

Later, a visiting doctor, Philip John, was seen at the same hospital after a month. He was a very good child psychiatrist. After a very detailed examination and detailed questions and answers to us, he said that my son has autism. To be honest, we didn’t even know what autism was back then.

The doctor calmed us down and referred us to Nimhans in Bangalore. He reminded us that everyone will tell you that you can get therapy in Dubai and it will cost a lot of money and that it is better to go to Bangalore as soon as possible. Dr. who was the head of Neurology Department at Nimhans at that time. Shobha Srinath Dr. Philip was John’s classmate.

He would give them the letter and we would go to Nimhans. Was there for a month. I was two and a half years old then. He had given me medicine for epilepsy for some time. Speech therapy was done by us from there. Doctors would give necessary guidance daily.

After staying there for a month, the hyperactivity has changed a lot. But mom and dad had not started talking. At that time it was only called water. Nimhans did not have a department to stay for more than a month at that time. With that, he was discharged and went home.

Family support was a big relief. Under guidance from Nimhans, Marwan was given lessons at home. A guide called Me Book was bought from there according to her. Joined play school in Nadu to mix with children more.

During the train journey he called for the first time: Umm

After a few months we went back to the Gulf again. Again during the train journey to Mumbai he unexpectedly called “Umma” for the first time. That trip gave us the happiest moment of our life. LKG was admitted to Monet School in Oman. He was very smart in school. He used to get full marks in exams. He was singing rhythms well.

The second child returned home when he was two years old. He was admitted to school in the first grade in the country. Later, I went for training at Icons in Shornur. He was there for a year and a half. Speech therapy and psychotherapy were given continuously.

I went to Icons thinking that it was the best organization that could be reached at that time. Even the smallest changes in Mon’s speech and behavior felt huge to us. As we stayed there only for his business, we had the opportunity to train him ourselves as much as possible. Mon’s speech seemed to improve from there.

After coming back from there, we were going back to the Gulf itself. The school was rejoined there. He continued his studies there till the 7th standard. He had good interest and excellence in music and computer. Kasab has school only up to 7th standard. Because of that, the need for further study came back to the country itself. Madrasa education was also provided along with school.

Later, Dr. C. P. It was good to meet Abukar. We attended the classes organized in Kottayam. It was of great help in shaping Marwan’s future affairs and making decisions.
