We all have been using Bluetooth in our media devices for a very long period of time. But, have you ever thought about why it is called Bluetooth?

Why it’s called Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Danish king Harald “Blåtand” Bluetooth! He united Denmark and Norway. The technology was developed to allow various devices to communicate with each other wirelessly, similar to how Kind Harald joined two countries Denmark and Norway.

The Bluetooth logo is a combination of two English letters “H” and “B” from the initials of the King’s name in runic script. Ericsson, a Swedish telecommunications company in the 1990s, developed this technology.
