In contrast, educators underestimated the proportion of students who planned to use ChatGPT, and 70% of educators considered its use to be plagiarism.

Additionally, two AI detection tools, GPTZero and AI text classifier, misclassified ChatGPT’s generated answers as human-written in 32% and 49% of cases, respectively. These findings shed light on the potential use of AI tools in educational settings and raise questions about academic integrity and policy considerations.
