During the competition, ListAssist will have four minutes to pitch its company, services, and how it plans to improve the real estate industry. Following the pitch, there will be a rapid-fire question-and-answer session with a panel of judges. ListAssist’s Co-founder and CEO, Chris McGoldrick, mentioned that the company is the youngest participant in the competition and the only one from New Zealand.

The pitch battle competition is organized by the National Association of Realtor’s (NAR) venture capital arm, Second Century Ventures (SCV). According to NAR CEO and SCV President Bob Goldberg, the aim of the competition is to find PropTech solutions that empower agents. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of US$15,000, feature articles in RISMedia and REALTOR Magazine, a meeting with an SCV executive, and a live demonstration at the NAR Booth.

ListAssist’s participation in the pitch battle follows its recent partnership with TheMLS.com, where it will provide AI image tagging, compliance, image descriptions, and property listings to 18,000 agents. The company’s computer vision technology has been instrumental in securing this partnership, enabling image tagging, compliance, and image captions for listings.

According to McGoldrick, ListAssist’s HomeSearch product is aimed at enhancing the customer experience and helping agents connect with potential buyers more effectively. The platform not only provides information on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms buyers are looking for but also considers styling preferences and lifestyle requirements.

ListAssist is looking to expand its presence in the US market and is also exploring opportunities in Australia. The company is cautiously building its business and seeking growth opportunities in the venture capital climate.
