The Hawaii wildfires have caused widespread damage, knocking out grid lines and leaving thousands without electricity and internet. However, there is some relief on the horizon. Tesla power stations and Starlink satellites are stepping in to help, as revealed in recent tweets.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter on August 16, 2023, to announce that both Tesla and Starlink were doing their best to provide assistance in Hawaii. In response, Fox News Radio podcaster Will Cain shared that Tesla power stations and over 50 Starlinks were being deployed to provide emergency power and restore communications.

Images have emerged showing relief workers assembling Tesla Powerwalls in a workshop. These Powerwalls, equipped with solar inverters, are being put together on wooden bases in a makeshift arrangement. A document attached to one of the Powerwalls indicates a partnership between Tesla and Rising Sun Solar Maui Community Power Station, a company known for installing and maintaining Tesla solar panels, solar roofs, and Powerwalls in Hawaii.

One video clip showcased a mobile station set up in Lahaina, powering a relief camp. Blue and red tents were erected on grass, surrounded by relief equipment. This makeshift setup is particularly helpful in coordinating recovery efforts, considering the devastation caused to infrastructure by the wildfires.

This is not the first time Tesla has provided such assistance. Last year, reports emerged of Tesla sending Powerwalls and Starlink equipment to Ukraine to serve as mobile power stations. Musk even mentioned sending power adapters, solar/battery packs, and generators to areas without electricity.

With Tesla and Starlink’s intervention, some of the affected areas in Maui are receiving much-needed relief and aid in the wake of the devastating wildfires.
