What are the Best Starfield Settings?

Performing a launch status check of your Starfield settings is crucial for a smooth gaming experience. Ensuring optimal performance and visual quality will enhance your gameplay. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to achieve this.

Before embarking on interplanetary voyages, it’s important to check if your PC meets the Starfield system requirements. If not, you may need to postpone your launch. Unlike the console versions, the frames per second (fps) in Starfield on PC will depend on the power of your system and the chosen settings.

As Starfield is the first game from Bethesda to run on Creation Engine 2, we can’t rely on previous titles like Fallout 76 or Skyrim to predict the available settings. However, it seems that there won’t be support for Nvidia DLSS or Intel XeSS. The only upscaler likely to be available is AMD FSR. There is also a possibility of AMD FSR 3 debuting in Starfield, which could further enhance fps on non-GeForce graphics cards.

While it is difficult to provide definitive options without testing the game ourselves, we anticipate that using the AMD FSR upscaler will be beneficial. We will update our settings guide once Starfield is released and provide insights on the compatibility with the Steam Deck.
