It seems that the upcoming Iphone 15 Pro may not include some features that will be saved for the next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models. According to an investor note by analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have significant enhancements compared to its predecessor.

One of the notable upgrades for the iPhone 16 Pro is the inclusion of a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a substantial improvement from the current 12-megapixel sensor. Additionally, the device is projected to have Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, amplified Bluetooth, and enhanced Ultra Wideband chips. However, Pu notes that the trajectory of Bluetooth and Ultra Wideband capabilities may still change.

Wi-Fi 7 integration in the iPhone 16 Pro would offer peak data rates exceeding 40Gbps, delivering speeds four times faster than Wi-Fi 6 and nearly six times quicker than Wi-Fi 5. In contrast, the iPhone 14 supports Wi-Fi, while the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup is expected to transition to Wi-Fi 6E.

Leaks and rumors also suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger displays, with sizes around 6.4-inch and 6.9-inch respectively. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro variants and standard models are likely to retain their existing displays.

Other rumored features for the iPhone 16 Pro include a periscope lens, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and under-display Face ID, which would allow Apple to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. The iPhone 15 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to have a titanium design, a periscope lens for the Pro Max variant, and a USB-C port for charging. It is also rumored to come with 8GB of RAM, powered by the A17 Bionic chipset.

While there is no information about the replacement of the mute switch button, recent beta versions of iOS 17 have listed various functions for the button, including Accessibility, Shortcuts, Silent Mode, Camera, Flashlight, Focus, Magnifier, Translate, and Voice Memos.

Overall, the iPhone 16 Pro is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, while the iPhone 15 Pro may miss out on some features that will be reserved for next year’s models.
