Intel is gearing up for the release by offering a new Arc graphics driver that aims to push their Arc A750 GPU past the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB in terms of performance.

Both the Intel Arc A750 and the GeForce RTX 3060 are sub-$300 graphics cards, making them direct competitors in the virtual football arena. Intel claims that their latest Arc GPU driver gives the A750 a performance advantage over the RTX 3060, making it a better overall value proposition.

According to Intel, the Arc A750 runs Madden NFL 24 at 87 FPS at 1440p with high settings, which is 10% faster than the RTX 3060. Additionally, considering the Intel Arc A750’s price of $249, it offers 49% more performance per dollar.

Intel has been emphasizing the performance per dollar aspect of their Arc GPU series since its introduction. While the GPU market faced shortages and inflated prices, Intel’s Arc GPUs aimed to provide a solution. Although the market has since stabilized, the Arc GPUs still offer strong value for gamers on a budget.

The latest Intel Arc driver not only enhances performance for Madden 24 but also introduces optimizations for Wayfinder and includes firmware upgrades for select Arc graphics cards. The firmware update brings stability improvements, improved fan behavior, bug fixes, and better compatibility with HDMI connections.

Intel’s engineers continue to release driver updates, resulting in improved performance for older titles as well. Those who already own an Arc graphics card can update their drivers via the Arc Control Center or manually install the latest driver from Intel’s Arc GPU driver page.
