Net Revenue Rises 22%, Adjusted EBITDA Surges 789.5%

Mobvista, a global marketing and technology company, has reported its financial results for the first half of the year ending June 30, 2023. The company’s revenue reached $506 million, marking an 11% increase compared to the previous year. Net revenue also saw a significant growth of 22.7% to reach $136 million. Additionally, Mobvista achieved an adjusted EBITDA of $51.8 million, representing a remarkable year-on-year surge of 789.5%. The company’s operating cash flow also experienced a substantial increase of 105.7% to reach $48 million.

During this period, Mobvista’s programmatic advertising platform, Mintegral, performed exceptionally well. The platform generated a revenue of $467.8 million, showcasing a 13.9% increase compared to the previous year. Mintegral’s success can be attributed to its strong performance across various categories, with casual gaming remaining stable, and mid-to-hardcore gaming and utility apps gradually gaining market share.

Mintegral’s success can be attributed to strategic actions taken in the first half of the year. Notably, the integration of Mintegral with Google AdMob expanded the company’s traffic sources significantly. By maintaining a high retention rate of 95.4% with partner publishers, Mintegral experienced growth in both the number of new publishers (18% increase) and partnered apps (23.8% expansion).

The implementation of machine learning in Mintegral’s bidding system, along with the introduction of the Target ROAS bidding feature, further enhanced the platform’s capabilities. The self-service platform allowed advertisers to set specific return on ad spend (ROAS) goals, resulting in impressive customer retention of 93.5% and a net expansion rate of 103.6%.

In terms of Mobvista’s Martech segment, the company has focused on developing its product suite, particularly in creative automation production, cross-channel media buying, and user data analysis platforms. The company’s offerings have gained recognition and partnerships with global publishers such as Voodoo, CMGE, Tantan, and Supercent. Mobvista has also embraced advanced technologies like LLM/AIGC to enhance its Martech suite, enabling customers to generate engaging ad creatives rapidly and launch campaigns efficiently using models such as Stable Diffusion and Meta Segment Anything.
