The Infinix ZeroBook 13: A Powerful and Well-Equipped Notebook

The Infinix Zerobook 13 is the latest model in the ZeroBook series, succeeding the previous generation ZeroBook 12. The numbering in the model name does not indicate the generation of the notebook or the display size, but rather refers to the generation of the Intel CPU inside. The ZeroBook 13 is equipped with Intel’s latest 13th gen models.

The flagship model of the ZeroBook 13 series is the most powerful and well-equipped. It features a Core i9-13900H, 32GB memory, and 1TB SSD, all at an astonishing price of INR 81,990 ($989). This makes it the most affordable notebook in its price range with similar specs.

In terms of design, the ZeroBook 13 retains the same basic design as its predecessor, featuring a silver aluminum construction inspired by the MacBook Pro. The lid has a few flashy markings with an illuminated Zero logo. The interior has a clean and derivative appearance, with a black chiclet keyboard, large trackpad, and fine speaker grille.

The ZeroBook 13 offers a range of ports, including two USB-C ports (one for charging), a USB-A 3.0 port, HDMI 1.4, a DC power connector, a USB-A 3.0 port, a microSD slot, a headphone jack, and a slider for performance profiles. The laptop features dual fans for ventilation, with air pulled in from the back and exhausted through a vent near the hinge. The laptop also has a row of red LEDs that turn on in the Overdrive performance mode.

The 15.6-inch display of the ZeroBook 13 has a 1920×1080 resolution, 100% sRGB coverage, and 400 nits of peak brightness. However, it lacks HDR support and touchscreen functionality. The display offers good color calibration but limited gamut coverage for wide-color work. It has a max brightness of 370 nits and a typical contrast ratio of 700:1. The viewing angles are great, but there is some light bleed in the bottom left corner.

The audio on the ZeroBook 13 comes from a four-speaker system, but it is described as tinny and unbalanced for music or movies. The speakers also fire from the intake vents at the bottom of the laptop, causing muffled sound when the laptop is on a soft surface.

The keyboard of the ZeroBook 13 has a familiar layout and design but does not include a numpad. The trackpad is large and responsive.

Overall, the Infinix Zerobook 13 offers a powerful and well-equipped notebook experience at an affordable price. While it may have some flaws, such as limited display capabilities and unbalanced speakers, it is still a capable option for everyday use.
