THQ Nordic Announces New Titles and Steam Sale

THQ Nordic recently revealed several new titles during its Digital Showcase event, including beloved franchises and recognizable intellectual properties. To celebrate these reveals, the publisher is hosting a week-long sale on Steam, running from today until August 17, 2023. The sale includes a wide range of games and playable demos.

One of the highlights from the showcase is “South Park: Snow Day,” a four-player co-op game developed by South Park Digital Studios, THQ Nordic, and Question Games. Players can take on the roles of Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny as they battle through the snow-covered streets of South Park on a quest to save the world and enjoy a day without school. The game is set to release in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Another exciting title announced is “TMNT: The Last Ronin,” based on the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book event. Set in a future, battle-ravaged New York City, players will assume the role of a lone surviving turtle seeking justice for the family they lost. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with no specific release date provided.

Fans of the original Titan Quest will be pleased to know that “Titan Quest II” is in development. This action role-playing game, steeped in Greek mythology, will challenge players to face epic monsters, collect loot, and build their strength and mastery. No release date has been announced yet, but it will be available for PC.

In addition, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive are remaking the 2001 classic “Gothic.” Set in a kingdom besieged by Orcs, players will assume the role of a charismatic scoundrel in a mining camp. While the game starts off leisurely, it quickly evolves into a more intense experience. The remake will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, with no specific release date mentioned.

Lastly, Mirage Game Studios is developing “Space for Sale,” which combines planetary exploration with a real estate development tycoon management simulator. Players can construct habitats for eccentric alien clients and sell them for profit. The game is currently being developed for PC, and sign-ups for the closed beta test are open.

Overall, THQ Nordic’s Digital Showcase revealed an exciting lineup of games and provided a glimpse into the future of their popular franchises. The Steam sale offers gamers an opportunity to get their hands on these titles at discounted prices.
