Springloaded’s popular park simulation game, Let’s Build a Zoo, is getting a new expansion called Aquarium Odyssey, set to release on 17 August 2023. This expansion focuses on aquatic creatures, allowing players to create a brand new zoo with seven new habitats and over 50 new creatures that can be hybridized.

In Let’s Build a Zoo, players can run their own zoo and take care of various creatures. They need to monitor nutrition, provide objects for play, and attract more park visitors to increase profits. Along the way, players will also have to make moral or immoral decisions.

As players progress, they can earn research points to unlock new enclosures, items, shops, and developments, including a DNA Splicer. The unique hybrid mechanics in the game allow players to create wild variants by pairing animals together, such as a snake-rabbit or a croco-duck.

Aquarium Odyssey introduces a range of new sea creatures, along with new enclosures, items, decorations, and the ability to create hybrid sea creatures. The expansion offers a fresh experience for players to build their aquarium-zoo.

The DLC, which is considered a fully-fledged sequel due to its new zoo style and research goals, will feature lobsters, clownfish, squids, cuttlefish, eels, sunfish, starfish, urchins, and more. It will also include new shops like the Squid Ink Pasta vendors, as well as new decorations and facilities to bring the aquarium-zoo to life.

Just like the previous Dinosaur Island DLC, Aquarium Odyssey will introduce a new story campaign, quests, choices, and in-game events. The expansion will be available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on 17 August 2023.
